Airport reaches milestone of 30 million passengers
Dublin Airport has reached a major milestone after it recorded 30 million passengers passing through its terminals in a single year – with the busy Christmas period still to come.
It’s the first time in its 78-year history that more than 30 million passengers have used the airport in a single year.
Passenger numbers are up 6pc so far this year, with good growth in European, transatlantic and other long-haul markets, said managing director Vincent Harrison.
The 30 million milestone was passed in recent days and the airport is now gearing up for an influx of passengers this week travelling for Christmas.
Dublin Airport passed the 20 million passenger milestone for the first time in 2006 and reached 25 million in 2015.
